Biography
Rebekah currently lives in Dorset, where she's working on her debut literary fiction novel.
Rebekah Miron studied Education with English and Drama at Homerton College, University of Cambridge. She was awarded a Distinction and the Kate Bertram Prize for her Masters work in Creative Writing at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.
Rebekah’s poetry has previously been published by The Cadaverine, The Kindling, Bind Collective, Poets Reading the News, The American Poetry Journal, Rattle, Maudlin House, Nymphs Publications, and Lunate. In 2018, her poetry was broadcast by Project Censored and syndicated to over 40 radio stations in the US from New York to Maui. Her non-fiction work entitled “Five Migraines” was also shortlisted for the VanderMey Non-Fiction Prize.
More recently, Rebekah’s poetry has been selected for inclusion in The Emma Press Anthology of Illness and nominated for the Orison Anthology. She was the winner of the 2019 Sir Philip Sidney Poetry Prize, shortlisted in the 2020 Frogmore Poetry Prize, and a finalist in the 2020 Sweet Lit Poetry Contest.
Rebekah was previously an editor at Rainy Fiction, an immersive poetry platform run by London poetry collective, Thirteen Pages. From 2014 – 2017, she was Editor in Chief of Cambridge Creatives, the University of Cambridge’s largest creative platform at the time. In 2016, Rebekah was the student Editor of The Mays Anthology XXIV alongside Guest Editors, Roger Mcgough and Rupi Kaur.
Rebekah was a member of the Menagerie – Young Writers’ Cohort in 2015 operating at the Junction Theatre, Cambridge, and had her first play Violet Night professionally produced there. Her theatre scripts have also been performed at The ADC Theatre, ADC Bar, Corpus Playroom, Homerton Auditorium and Small Studio.
